Mentoring Program
FLEX Alumni Ukraine

Leadership is mentorship in action

The FLEX Alumni Mentoring Program is a professional development pilot program, which connects senior and junior Ukrainian FLEX alumni for career consultations and exploration. It is dedicated to developing professional contacts, networking, and exploring the vibrant Ukrainian Alumni community.

The mission of the Program is to transmit the professional and personal experience of senior alumni to junior alumni for the common benefit of the community and each alumnus/alumna individually. By the means of this program the younger alumni will be able to practically develop the long-term plan of their careers with the expertise of their older peers, and the senior alumni will gain the experience of talent incubation and management.

Both Senior (1994 - 2007) and Junior (2008 - 2017) alumni are invited to apply to participate in this 5 month-long program by completing the online application. The participating junior alumni will be assigned to a mentor – a senior alumnus/a of the FLEX Program, according to shared professional interests and personal compatibility.

After completing FLEX program in 1995, which was a real breakthrough for my personal and professional development, I went on to pursue business education in Kyiv, Ukraine and then started THE journey in a corporate world, lasting for almost 20 years, and still counting. I have been working in all possible sectors of finance, progressing from a financial analyst and a manager in an FMCG giant "Procter & Gamble", followed by a role of Finance Director Ukraine in the world's largest tour-operator, "TUI Travel" and currently being a CFO Ukraine for a tasty French cheese-maker, "Bel Group". I know very well how to navigate and have a successful career in large organizations, within complex matrix reporting structures and I can also advise on when to best stay or leave the company, especially if not everything goes smooth. I am a strong finance person and a people manager and have prior experience of mentoring and facilitating business courses to others. Having received so much from the FLEX program in the first place, it is time to give something back and I am looking forward to being a mentor for younger FLEXers.
